Hi, I’m Stephanie, the heart behind Original Mami. I’m an RN and IBCLC with over a decade of breastfeeding and maternal-health experience. I founded Original Mami to make breastfeeding compassionate, accessible, and evidence-based, delivered through a hands-on, family-centered approach.

My journey into lactation started personally: in 2003 I was the first in my circle to breastfeed, and faced severe engorgement and found amazing guidance from an IBCLC who guided me through the pain and trouble with latch which helped me nurse my first son for 15 months. That experience inspired me to help other families navigate breastfeeding with confidence. Professionally, I’ve worked in hospital settings and in community lactation care, and in 2021 I expanded to include hospital-grade pumps, in-home jaundice phototherapy, and personalized consultations.

What you’ll find with me is a commitment to small, quality-focused care and to being your continuous partner - available by text, phone, or video and staying with you until you feel happy, confident, and independent. I’m dedicated to empowering you to trust your instincts, with weekly check-ins when things go smoothly and more support when needed.

When I’m not with families, you’ll find me practicing yoga, swimming, or crafting with my three children. I’m committed to ongoing learning to better serve you.

Our passionate virtual assistant dedicated to supporting families. After a rewarding career as an X-ray technician, she chose to prioritize her family and joined Original Mami in 2023. Kait thrives in creating efficient systems, managing client communications, and ensuring our social media and website are engaging and up-to-date.

With a love for working with families, she brings a warm and caring approach to everything she does. In her free time, Kait enjoys reading, soaking up the sun at the beach, and making cherished memories with her family. Her commitment and enthusiasm make her a valuable asset to our team!
